Jones Beach Theater

The design of a new free standing box office structure sympathetic to the architectural Art Deco style of the existing theater complex at the Wantagh Long Island venue. Previously the theatre had been enlarged in 1992 with a second level of seating increasing the capacity to 11,200 seats, and then again in 1998 increasing the capacity to 15,000 seats. The enlarged capacity created the need for a more extensive box office operated by concert promoter Ron Delsener. The project included the complete interior renovation of the back stage stars dressing suites and green room.

KEY TASKS:
Developing a custom signage concept that reinforced the venue identity while integrating logo and signage identifying the theater’s corporate sponsor. Coordinating and negotiating between the operator, Clear Channel Entertainment, and the Landlord, The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Performing enhanced construction administration services during demolition of the old structure and erection of the new building. Specifying, purchasing, tracking and overseeing the installation of the interior FF&E package on a fast track basis.
